Market Wharf

1100 sq.ft curved terrace on the 33rd floor with sweeping views north and west of downtown Toronto. A two level Ipe modular deck system with a Corian water feature and Corten steel planters and fire pit. Areas of stone ground cover with recessed succulent plantings. Lexan and Ipe wood Shogi privacy screens covering the terrace dividers.

King West 4

1500 sq.ft. multi level terrace with Ipe modular decking and Eramosa limestone paving elements. Pergola and water features with extensive woodland plantings in BOX planters. Corten steel fire pit with a backdrop of purple-robe locust.

King West 3

1600 sq.ft wrap around terrace with east, west, and south views of the city. Ipe wood yoga platform and modular deck system, Eramosa stepping stones with river stone ground cover and recessed succulent plantings. Outdoor kitchen with corian counter and bar. Dining area features a large table with matching corian top and BOX planters with formal juniper plantings and artificial grass. Pool/lounging area includes stairs, benches and built-in daybed in corian and stone.


850 sq.ft. wrap around terrace with east, south and west exposure. Designed for a young family with lounging, dining and play areas. Lots of shade features and a vegetable garden compliment the extensive Box garden plantings and Modular deck systems of Ipe and limestone.

King West 2

800 sq.ft. South-facing terrace, with 200 sq.ft West-facing terrace extending from the study. An emphasis on entertaining, complete with outdoor kitchen, dining area, and sun/shade lounging area. Two levels of Ipe decking, eramosa stone walkways, and river stone ground cover. Plantings, Ipe and lexan privacy screens, and the pergola designed to compliment the clients Asian sculpture collection.

450 sq.ft. East-Facing penthouse terrace with modular Ipe decking and Hampton limestone tiles


Expansive city views, 2500 sq.ft. South-West-facing penthouse terrace. Modular Ipe decking with artificial grass, river stone ground cover, and eramosa stone pavers. Hauser garden pavilion provides shade and rain cover for the seating area and fire pit. Walk-in storage building.

Fashion District

A penthouse suite terrace on two levels with southern and eastern exposure. Eramosa limestone and clear cedar deck sections create a graphic background to extensive plantings. The aluminium arbor supports a wysteria and provides shade, creating intimacy.


A 3000 sq. ft. penthouse terrace in the Toronto Annex with three distinct gardens. A formal entertaining area features corten steel sculptural elements, a pleached beech tree screen, and mass plantings of ornamental grasses. An intimate and densely planted garden is the departure point for a 40 ft. long wysteria walk that leads to a quiet, contemplative garden pavilion.

King West

Reflecting pool with illuminated corian water feature and porcelain tile stepping stones. Ipe decking with porcelain tile batten strips, aluminium trellises and outdoor kitchen


1500 sq. ft multi-level roof terrace with an irregular layout. A reflecting pond and fountain extend the view from the master bathroom. A stone bridge connects raised deck sections which step down to an area of artificial grass to the west, and an outdoor dining area to the east.

Hogg's Hollow

Although we specialize in rooftop terraces, we occasionally take on interesting ground-level projects. This dramatic ravine lot in Hogg's Hollow Toronto has a private elevated cedar platform for entertaining, and a modernist playhouse hidden in the trees. An arbour and poolhouse/bar unifies the existing architecture.


Walk-outs from both the master bedroom and living room access a 400 sq. ft. west-facing roof garden. Cast boulders and inset planters with alpines suggest landscape and add drama to the background, which includes additional planters filled with a variety of evergreen and deciduous shrubs, vines, and perennials.
