650 square foot penthouse with north exposure. The entrance leads out to a modular Ipe decking carpet surrounded by white porcelain tiles. A custom Ipe archway opening up to the dining section fixed to the concrete walls adding depth and dimension to the space. Custom insulated planter boxes placed without blocking the view from the office and primary bedroom. Ipe trellises cover the concrete walls with 6” spacing in between to leave room for climbing hydrangeas to cover the trellis. The plant stock chosen to emulate a Japanese garden using lots of Japanese junipers, Japanese maples and Japanese grasses. All planter boxes equipped with RBG LED lighting and deck floor lights inside the archway lighting up with 2’’x2’’ Ipe structure.
